Avengers: Endgame
I saw Avengers: Endgame today with my Boy Friend today. Man, I have so many thoughts about the movie that I want to write about but I also don't want to spoil it so my thoughts will go under the cut.
The movie was really awesome! There was a lot of surprises and had an epic battle at the end of the movie. After I saw Infinity War last year, I read an article about a theory that the characters were going to be trapped in the soul stone. I even wonder if it was possible that they were trapped in alternate worlds. The time travel was something I wasn't expecting, but it worked. It was interesting to see all of the events in older movies work in the new movie.
I was shocked and sadden when Black Widow sacrificed herself when her and Hawk Eye went to get the soul stone. I was hoping she would get a happy ending, but the more I think about it, I shouldn't have been surprised because in order to get the soul stone, a person has to sacrifice something they love. I'm still curious how Red Skull ended up on that planet.
When Iron Man died, I was shocked but not shocked that it happened. I had a feeling that it was going to be him and Captain America's last movie, but when I saw that Iron Man had a kid, I thought that he was going to retire or something.
I was happy that Valkyrie, Korg, and Miek survived. I was worried about them. Though I knew Valkyrie had too because she's Valkyrie!
I was confused about the way Gamora at the end wondering if she survived at the end or vanished at the end. I was reading articles trying to figureit out, I have a feeling we'll get that answer when we see Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3. Also very shocked that they had no post credit scenes since that's always been a Marvel movie tradition, but I guess they felt like there wasn't a need for one because the movie was already three hours.
