nikitiumeGood morning! Today's been a slowish kind of morning and drinking some coffee wha listening to music. I'm going to be working at night haven't planned the rest of the day yet, but I'll play it by ear. I really wanted to start sharing my art on DW. I want to get more in depth details about my art process.
I recently finished a mermaid illustration that took foorrrrreeevvveeerr to create but she was a lot of fun to paint! ^_^
During the month of May, I participated in an art challenge called MerMay. Artist would draw a mermaid everyday through out the month of May and tag it #mermay. It always made me happy to see all the beautiful Mermaid art appearing on my Instagram feed during the month of May and felt inspired to join the fun. At first, I struggled with deciding what to draw, so I decided to look at photos of sea creatures which made MerMay a fun art challenge. I focused on doing just simple black and white drawings. Then painting then after Mermaid. This mermaid was inspired by Blue Sea Slugs. The name sounds weird, but their very beautiful! I also love the color blue, so I had fun working with all the shades of blue. ^_^
