Nikit Iume

 This morning was a bit of a slow morning. Ended up waking up around 10:00 AM. After breakfast, I ran an error to get a supplement for stress. I then went to the mall and spent some time working on a drawing in my IPad in the bookstore cafe. The plan is that I took a photo of the drawing in my sketchbook that I could finish because I ran out of alcohol marker ink, print the drawing and then past it over the original drawing. It was a quiet day at the mall. The mall is what people would consider a dying mall because most of the big stores have closed, but I spend a lot of time at the bookstore because I stared playing D&D and made so many friends there.

I have been going down a rabbit whole learning about how there’s been a loneliness epidemic and one of the causes is a lack of a third place. I was learning that society had three places. First place which is our home, the second place is work, and the third place is where we go to socialize with people outside of home and work. I’m bringing this up because I’m realizing that the bookstore at the mall has been my third place and I’m really thankful for that because I got to meet some great friends and it’s a lot of fun playing D&D. I like being able to create a character and go on adventures. One of my friends who works at the bookstore started a book club and we’re currently reading Dracula. It’s nice reading the books and having conversations with people about the story and the vampire genre. 

I went home around 7:00 PM and decide to tweak some of the colors on my drawing some more.

This was created with col-erase pencils, alcohol markers, and glitter gel pens. 

Artist problems. When you can't decided which sketch book to get so you buy both of them and you already have a bunch more sketch books you still need to fill. Yep. That's my artist problem. XD 

 I uploaded some newer artwork to my DW. Just learning how to insert them into blog post. Lol. 😅 I’m open for words of wisdom on how to share art properly.

• so far, work life is okay. I’m juggling two jobs, one job the art store job schedule varies depending on the season and the office store job is one or two days a week depending on what my art job is like.
• I got the first shot of the COVID vaccine and will be getting the second one next week. Yay! It’ll be nice to get that taken care of.
• I joined a couple more art app communities called BubbleHouse and Artflow. I’m really liking the apps so far. I love Instagram still, but the algorithm can be a bit stressful so it’s nice to find apps that are more art friendly.

 I'm planning on doing a Twitch stream on Friday. Just working on deciding if I want to do it in the morning, night or both. I'm nervous but after hanging out with my artist friend, Christine Brunson, we had a lot of fun talking about magical girl animes and comic cons while she worked on a metal Sailor Moon drawing. I was thinking it would be fun to hang out with people and create art so I want to start up doing Twitch streams again. I'll post more details later. :)
